2019 was a busy year for Fox Brothers (Lancashire) Ltd as we saw rapid expansion to our fleet. Along with this we moved to a new transport and recycling yard at Squires Gate Industrial Estate, Blackpool. We have continued this growth with the addition of 5 new Volvo FMX 420 Tipper trucks.
Expansion with new Volvo FMX 420 tippers
Recent months prior to the Coronavirus pandemic breaking out, demand was high and the acquisition of the new trucks was highly anticipated. Now with works slowly returning back to normal levels on-site, the new Volvo FMX 420 trucks have hit the ground running.
Supplied by Thomas Hardie Commercials, the 8×4 rigid units feature the Fox livery with the distinctive traffic blue cab. However the blue cabs continue to stand out against their smart grey Marshalls tipper bodies which are perfect for the job. New vehicles to the Fox fleet are Euro 6 and fitted with the latest camera and safety equipment. This meets FORS standards as we look to progress from Silver to Gold FORS accreditation.
FORS
FORS Gold accreditation has become the company goal at Fox Brothers as we look to further improve our fleet and operations. The FORS standard also helps us monitor internal processes to ensure best practice and safe driving. Drivers training includes a number of safety and awareness courses. This not only helps Fox Brothers improve as a company but also aids individual’s improvement whilst they are working with us.
Operations
Operating out of the new transport depot in Blackpool, the trucks will be delivering across the North West.
